The Ombudsperson Punjab, Ms. Rukhsana Gillani had a meeting with the Hon’ble Governor Punjab on 25.9.2018. She briefed the Governor regarding performance of Ombudsperson office established under The Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace 2010 and informed that 15 pending cases have been disposed off since assumption of her charge on 19.4.2018. She proposed Financial Autonomy of the institution and amendment in the Act 2010.
Another proposal of establishment of Regional Directorate at Rawalpindi and Multan was also presented by her to which Hon’ble Governor gave his assent. He, however advised to submit proposals and amendments to this effect in black and white.
